Usually used to describe what
occurs after someone gets an
insight, or has an
epiphany, that
radically changes
eir world view. When you see things in a
drastically different way, that you must
adjust all of your
opinions and
beliefs to fit this new view.
A period of disorientation after one realizes something that makes a large part of their beliefs and thoughts seem invalid.
