According to the title of an article in
Wired, it’s
Eric Harshbarger. The
Alabama native still holds a
day job as a programmer, but he’s becoming famous for his
sculptures made entirely of
Lego blocks. His most popular item is a $500
Linux penguin, but he has constructed everything from a full sized desk (which someone at an
e-commerce company is actually using) to a working
grandfather clock (even the mechanism is made of Legos). The comparison to
Michelangelo is overblown hyperbole, but it would be really cool to have a Lego grandfather clock.
