The Forks is located at the junction of the Red and Assiniboine rivers in the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Currently on the site is a park, covering nine acres, which was built in 1987 at a cost of 20 million dollars.

In the park is the Forks Market, an indoor complex, housing many diverse shops and restaraunts. As well as the Johnston Terminal, which contains more shops, the Explore Manitoba tourist information area.

The Forks has historically been a hub of exchange, as a canoe route for the fur traders, evolving into a steam boat route.

The site is close to the original settlements which grew into the city of Winnipeg. It was also a meeting place for many native tribes.

A great place to shop, eat, and explore, the Forks is still very much a hub of life in Winnipeg.
