The idea that transhumans will eventually evolve to the point where there is no need or desire for emotion or love.

It is considered highly unlikely because emotions and feelings are considered inherent and necessary in the decision making process; they are important for cognition. People who have had serious brain injury to make them unemotional have been found to have an extremely difficult time making decisions.

There is a greater likelihood that emotions will be developed and refined instead.
