Sister George were named after the film starring Beryl Reid.
During the height of Queercore in 1993-94, Sister George were a prominent Queercore band.
The lead singer was Elliot Dragon and their only album, Drag King was released in 1994.
It covered the fantastic Sing if You're Glad to be Gay.

Sister George disbanded after the Queercore scene disintegrated.
