SEGA's first videogame console. Not released in the United States, and saw little circulation outside Japan, mostly in Australia and New Zealand. It was, essentially, a predecessor to the SEGA Master System, being based on the same processor, and having similar controllers - the main difference was memory and a few chipset extras.

Some of the system's games:

- Safari Hunting not to be confused with SMS Safari Hunt - this is not a light gun game
Mahjong
Champion Tennis
Star Jacker(!)
SEGA Flipper
SEGA Galaga
Exerion
Lode Runner
Hustle Chumy
Zaxxon
Othello
Space Invaders
The Castle
