Romeo Beckham is the second son of England international soccer player David Beckham and Victoria Beckham.
He was born on September 1, 2002, at 9:40 GMT, and was delivered by Caesarean section. His birth weight was 7lb 4oz. His birth, like that of the Beckham's earlier son Brooklyn was by elective Caesarean, and draws yet more attention to the rise in the number of elecive caesareans taking place in the UK.
The announcement of his birth shocked the media, because it was believed that the baby was going to be a daughter to be named Paris. Brooklyn is said to have revealed that "fact" several weeks before the baby's birth.
Bookmakers are taking bets at 250-1 that Romeo will play for England.
