A supercar made by German manufacturer RUF, the RGT is based on the Porsche 996 Carrera 2. The RGT was created when Alois and his staff completely disassembled a 996 Carrera 2, rebuilt it and added the 3.6L racebred engine from the 996 GT3. Coupled with RUF's own exhaust system, the RGT sees a not-insignificant 89bhp increase over the stock Carrera 2. Handling is further improved by adding stiffer shocks and springs and by lowering the ride height by more than an inch. A custom rear wing, 18-inch wheels and a revised front end including a new air dam give the RGT a look described by Road & Track magazine as "aggressive and elegant, but not overdone". The RGT has appeared in the Playstation2 game Gran Turismo Concept.
