PyWX is an
embedded Python interpreter in
Aolserver. It plays well with Aolserver's
threaded architecture and provides access to the
filters, db
connection pooling,
network access
APIs, and whatnot that makes Aolserver so cool. A unique thing about it, in contrast to a run-of-the-mill embedding, is the extensions to allow Python to freely call
Tcl functions and vice versa. It hasn't been updated in quite a while, but hopefully the
mod_python team will take some ideas from it while adapting to the new threaded
Apache2.
