27 August 1953,

Peter Stormare began acting at the
Royal National Theatre of
Sweden, where he'd perform for eleven years. In 1990 became the
associate artistic director at
Tokyo Globe Theatre, where he was to
direct many
Shakespeare plays. In 1993 he moved to
New York City, where he appeared in English/American
productions.
And today Peter Stormare is surely one of the more (internationally) succesful Scandinavian actors; he has acted in movies like
8MM,
Fargo,
Armageddon,
The Big Lebowski, and many many more.
Today he lives in Los Angeles, making movies in both the USA and Scandinavia.
He was nominated for an MTV Movie Award, in the category Best On-Screen Duo (he and Steve Buscemi), for the movie Fargo.
