We all know already how much
Japanese love to shorten long words, and well,
Makudonarudo is a perfect example of simply too long of a word. Therefore, of course, there is a shortened way to say it.
In Tokyo and the surrounding areas in Kanto, McDonald's is shortened to:
maku
However, in
Osaka and it's surrounding areas, McDonald's is shortened to:
makudo
Just another silly example of differences between
dialects.
