The name of two Romans, father and son, of the Aemilius family. Lucius Aemilius Paulus the elder fell at the the battle of Cannae, but his son went on to command the third Macedonian war and defeat Perseus at Prydna in 168 B.C. , thus conquering the last of Macedonia. He died in 160 B.C.
