It flares up fast, love at first sight
Surrounding you with light,
warmth
The flame, with its hypnotic dance
fills the cold air with sweet fragrance
Encircled by comforting glow
Yet, by a dark shadow,
menaced
You cling hard to it, for it's dark,
The rain can make it spit and spark
If it drops, it will extinguish.
Oh Anguish!
Filling eyes with tears -
Billowing clouds of acrid smoke,
strangling your breath, making you choke.
