A uniquely Filipino liquor that is made from naturally fermented and distilled coconut sap and is most closely related to Vodka. Produced in the southern tagalog region, its standard preparation (prescribed by the .ph dept of science and technology (DOST), should yield forty percent alcohol and thus be 80 proof. Yes the same DOST that handles science and mathematics curricula for primary and secondary school children also prescribe the proper method of making intoxicating beverages.

Because of its purity and lack of any strong and distinct flavors, aside from a very slight hint of fermented coconut sap, it is very easily flavored with anything you can think of. The most common being raisins which add a pleasant sweetness and takes away the edge.
