Community college serving the northern half of the
Richmond, Virginia area: the
city of
Richmond,
Henrico County, and
Goochland County. Campuses are located
downtown, on Henrico's north side on
Parham Road, and in
Goochland Courthouse. It is colloquially known as PRU ("Parham Road
University") by
Richmonders due to its main location (
administration, etc.) being on Parham, but certain programs are only offered in certain locations (in particular,
science labs are not available at Parham).
J. Sarge has a very cordial relationship with Virginia Commonwealth University, as do many Virginia community colleges with their local universities. J. Sarge students can be guaranteed admission and easy credit transfer into most VCU programs by taking a specific sequence of courses in the process of earning their associate's degree.
