I was supposed to fill out the
US Cenus 2000. I was one of the 1/25 people or something that got the
extra long form. They did ask me my
name and the names of our
family, our
ages, how much I make a
year. Some other
reasonable questions. But on the extra section I was asked questions such as "How many
pets do you own?" and even questions of
sexual and
culinary preference! That is unacceptable. The
government does not have a right to know these things about me.
This goes along with my belief about
gun control. I personally, do not own a gun. But when someone does a background check on you so you can
ppurchase a gun, they do not jus throw that check away. They send it to the government. Then the government knows how many of what kind of guns you own. Then, they can take it
away from you whenever they want.
