A trip-hop / acid jazz band from Germany, formed in 1997 by Pit Baumgartner.

It is an "open-band-concept". Since the musician/singer set-up isn't static, their style evolves due to the influences brought in by different members. A good example is the half-Cuban percussion artist Roy Randolph, who has added some South American flavor to the De-Phazz sound. The influence by their muted trombone player Otto "Sugarlip" Engelhardt can be heard very well in The Mambo Craze single.

De-Phazz is releasing their music on the Mole label.
