As further evidence (if any were needed) that
Electronic Arts are the Font of All That Is Evil (and Stupid), I present to you Crueball. This was a
Megadrive pinball game very clearly inspired by
Tecnosoft's superior
Devil Crash. Its unique selling point was that it was based on the popular 80's beat combo
Motley Crue (
umlauts mercifully omitted). A pinball game about a crappy metal band, possibly creating the game with the smallest
demographic in history.
The game itself is pretty dull (and surprisingly jerky), with the Crue's music throughout (except I think in the European version, which was called Twisted Flipper). At least now that EA are only making the same three sports games every year, there's no chance of a travesty like this happening again.
