Cochise College is a small
community college in a small
Arizona town called
Sierra Vista. (80 miles southeast of
Tucson) Well, technically the main campus is in
Douglas, AZ, but the Sierra Vista campus is the larger of the two. Known to its students as "Goat Cheese College", a minor revision to the
webmaster's
April Fool's Day prank, in which the web site said "Gochise College" for a short period of time (in fact, for exactly as long as it took for the
college president to find out and yell at her subordinates). The
administration is generally known for having poor priorities, but the
instructors are generally knowledgable and energetic.
