This should now be considered a historical record as of November 2012 the Cinema Complex has been developed into shops accessible via new escalators and just the office remains as a ticket office for Cantopop touring singers.

The best place to see Hong Kong and other Asian movies.

It's hard to believe that there are only 2 full time Chinese movie theatres outside of China.

The cinema is upstairs and adjoins several speciality shops and a Chinese restaurant called Red Silks.

What makes it my favourite cinema in Melbourne is that I have seen about 60 Hong Kong movies there as they used to screen double features for the price of a single ticket.

They also have a small selection of Hong Kong movies to buy on video which is rare now days as most places sell them on DVD only.

Once a month there is a special double feature put on by the person who runs the 'Heroic Cinema' website http://www.heroic-cinema.com
