Καρκαβος
The son of Triopas, king of the Perrhaebae who reigned over the area in the north of Greece between Macedonia and Thrace. Triopas was a cruel tyrant and his son killed him to free his country, and after doing this he abdicated voluntarily and was purified by Tros, the king of the Troad, with whom he had sought asylum. Tros also gave him a gift of some land on which Carcabus founded the town of Zeleia. His descendant Pandareus fought on the side of the Trojans.
