A
Civilization Advance.
Bronze working technology grew out of experiments combining the distinctive, greenish
copper ore with other raw metals. These mixtures led to the discovery of
bronze. The new
metal proved harder and less brittle than copper, and it held a sharper edge. Tools,
weapons, and
armor made from bronze were also cheaper to produce and more durable.
