ApologetiX is a Pittsburgh-based band that performs Christian Rock music. The catch, however, is that they do so by playing parodies of popular (non-Christian) music. For example, The Devil Went Down to Jordan is a Charlie Daniels parody about Satan's tempting of Jesus in the wilderness; Bethlehemian Rhapsody is a Queen parody about David and Goliath, and I Love Apostle Paul is a Joan Jett parody that, if a lesser band had recorded it, would almost certainly have crossed some line for good taste. The band is comprised of front-man/lead singer J. Jackson, lead guitarist Karl Messner, bassist Keith Haynie, and drummer Bill Rieger.
