An
English architect who lived from 1812 to 1852. He led a
Gothic revival in building design. He was a convert to the
Roman Catholic church, and designed many churches, including five
cathedrals. He didn't necessarily get along with Cardinal Wiseman, after whom
Bishop Blougram is modeled.
