A small city in North Central Pennsylvania that you will see signs for if you are driving
along Interstate 80 or the vicinity. Under 20 miles
from the larger city Williamsport,
the name makes it stick out more than anything else -- the name strikes one as being a trick,
as the city is a few hours driving from the actual shore.
Jersey Shore is also the home of the Tiadaghton Elm, under which on July 4th, 1776 a group of colonists
calling themselves the Fair Play Men declared independence from Great Britain. They were unaware of the Continental Congress's simultaneous effort to this effect.
