On the way to school today, I was listening 99.1 JAMS playing
gospel music. It sort of makes a mockery of what they usually play. The music selection goes from
booty music and
hip hop, with lyrics like: "WHOOP, WHOOP! PULL OVER THAT
ASS IS TOO FAT!",
"
WHO LET THE DOGS OUT?", and "SHAKE THAT THING..WATCH YOURSELF..
SHAKE THAT THING, SHOW ME WHAT YOUR WORKING WITH" during the week to talented choirs singing "I've got a little light, I'm gonna
let it shine" on Sunday mornings.
Now even though I am not religious, I love gospel music. It's uplifting. But what's the point of playing
religious music on Sunday while the rest of the week you play songs about
sex, booty and
thongs?
