The televisual arm of the
British Broadcasting Corporation is in charge of the British
terrestrial channels
BBC 1 and
BBC 2, the international
BBC Worldwide, and the new digital channels such as
BBC Choice, so known becuase the public chooses not to watch it
:-).
BBC TV is best known for its brilliant documentaries, its amusing comedies, and its engaging drama. Unfortunately, it is no longer known for its coverage of sports events, as the BBC has lost Formula One racing, Test Match cricket, boxing, and most football matches to its compeititors.
