Sealth is the Chinook two syllable pronounciation (See-alth) of Seattle, the chief of the Duwamish and Suquamish tribes who befriended early settlers in the 1850-60's. It is also the name of a Washington State Ferry vessel, MV Sealth. The Sealth is an Issaquah 100 class ferry with a length of 227', beam of 62', a draft of 10'; it weighs 2477 tons. It can carry 1200 passengers and 100 vehicles at up to 16 knots, and was built in Seattle, Washington in 1982.
