Mystagogue refers to a person who prepares candidates for initiation into a religion, or teaches initiates how to participate in religious ceremonies. It is particularly used when talking about cults and secret societies.
More generally it refers to a person who holds mystical beliefs or who spreads mystical doctrines, particularly someone who has had a religious or spiritual revalation.
