orange with red, pink, yellow or peach overtones. The stones officially classified as padparadscha are only found in
Sri Lanka; similar corundums which are considered to really be
sapphires have been found in
Tanzania. A one-
carat padparadscha can cost $15,000
U.S. dollars.
