This should be the poster boy for Bad Idea Jeans. When I saw it in the hardware store I did a double take. It seems like an inherently dangerous thing to do. That's not the worst of it... I looked at it, reading the marketing hype on the package ("cut high tree limbs" (picture of man sawing off a widow-maker directly over his head)) when I noticed one of its "features": it telescoped.

I picked it up, to fully gauge the stupidity, and it felt flimsy. I don't recall what company makes it, but all I could think of was "Acme". See also Portable Band Saw.
