Known as "Mister Excitement" and "The Midnight Idol", singer Wayne Newton has had immeasurable success playing the showrooms of Las Vegas and Branson, Missouri despite having only one hit: "Danke Schoen", produced by Bobby Darin. Born April 3, 1942, in Roanoke, Virginia, he and his brother Jerry played as a duo before Wayne took off on his own after a series of successful appearances on the Jackie Gleason show. His home in Vegas, where he breeds horses, is called the Casa De Shenendoah.
