Santa Rosa is a variety of Plum fruit, the most common plum in California. The fruit has dark reddish purple skin and amber yellow flesh, with a juicy, tangy flavor. Santa Rosa plums are ready and ripe in late June. They are self fruitful, unlike Satsuma plums. This early plum is often used in cooking for sauces and jam, or just plain fresh. Delicious!
