A multinational corporation that started way back in 1878, building steel ships. Since, Kawasaki manufactured it's first aircraft in 1918, and its first motorcycle in 1961.

In 2000, Kawasaki Heavy Industries manufactures a wide variety of things from ships to water treatment.

Kawasaki also manufactures New York City subway cars. They have a factory in downtown Yonkers, New York, right next to the Hudson River. I've seen the large flatbed trucks with "Wide Load" signs on them going down Broadway.
