Jester Records, located in Oslo, Norway, was founded in 1998 by Kristoffer "Garm" Rygg. After his band Ulver had clashed with their former label Century Media, Garm needed a safe haven for his musical projects, so Jester Records was born.

Their band selection is very varied and mostly pretty underground, but very high quality. Some currently listed bands/artists: Ulver, Arcturus, Star Of Ash (former Dies Miserere, starring Ihriel of Peccatum fame), Origami Galaktika, Virus and When.
