I don't generally put much stock in such unsubstantial ideas, but occasionally I find that for no good reason, I just don't like something. Since I trust myself as an inherently intelligent, reasonable person (though I'm wrong a lot) I generally trust such impulses, especially if I have nothing to lose by doing so.

For example, that damn millionaire show lights up my early warning system like a Tesla Coil.

I figure it's my subconsious correlating information I haven't consiously parsed yet and saying "Nah, don't bother," rather than some quasi-mystical perception. Women do not have ESP, contrary to many otherwise-reasonable people I've talked to.
