Cherry Coffee Cake

Cream butter & sugar. Beat eggs and add to the mixture. Add vanilla. Stir a bit. Then add the flour and baking powder.

Pour 2/3 batter into a well greased jelly roll pan. Spread the 2 cans of cherry pie filling over the batter. Drop the rest on top using a tablespoon. There should be cherries showing through.

Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees F.

If you like, frost with a powdered sugar frosting. I don't frost it, because I don't like things tooo sweet..
