A nifty cartoon syndicated in 1967. It was pretty much a spoof of Batman, even though the TV show was already a spoof of the comic book.

Batfink was a cartoon bat, but with superpowers and high-tech gadgets. Known for "My wings are like a shield of steel." "My super-sonic sonar radar will find them."

He had an Asian sidekick/moron, Karate, who was a martial-arts expert similiar to Kato, the Green Hornet's sidekick. The main villain was Hugo a Go Go, a swinging sixties bad guy.

The show had kinda over the top overplayed heroics, which made Dudley Do-Right a hit. The voice for Batfink was by Frank Buxton combined the straight announcer style of Gary Owens. (thanks yesterdayland.com for the name)

100 five-minute episodes were produced, and the show was briefly syndicated. Two decades later in Ralph Bakshi's Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures, there was a copy named BatBat, but he wasn't the same.

Batfink got picked up in the early 90's by Nickelodeon, which was generally well liked, as a weekday morning show. Eventually it got dropped, and I haven't seen it on Cartoon Network or anything.
