A book by Robert Heinlein, a collection of two short stories and two novellas: Lost Legacy, in which three young students discover the hidden potential of the human mind; Jerry was a Man, a tale of a legal battle to have a genetically engineering monkey/labourer classified as a man to avoid involuntary euthanasia; Elsewhen, a short story about a professor who discovers how to access alternate time lines and sends his four prize students there; Gulf, a tale of a super-spy who is retrained as a superman (by Kettle Belly Baldwin, "Boss" in the best-selling Friday) in order to carry out mission to save the world. Among his top works, in my opinion.
