The
abstract legal and
financial concept representing
Queens of England, the
Kings of England and future holders of these
titles and the
governments using which they
govern, particularly in relation to the
British Commonwealth.
In particular, treaties such as the Treaty of Waitangi are/were signed between the English Crown (or their representative) and and third parties.
The concept of the English Crown is essentially unrelated to the English Crown Jewels, which are the collection of Crowns, scepters and other instruments representing the current Queen of England or King of England. The English Queens and Kings are always crowned with a new crown.
