Smokey Bear is wrong! He seems to be under the impression that only
I can prevent forest fires. I don't see how that could be true since
I live in the city and hardly ever leave!
How then could it possibly have become
my job to keep track of the masses throughout the country, educate them about fire safety and monitor their behavior at all times?
I hardly think I deserve such a heavy responsibility, and quite frankly, I just can't handle it. If I had been given the opportunity to converse with him before he simply assumed, I could have spared all of this confusion by explaining
from the get-go that preventing
forest fires is just not in my repertoir. I can barely keep up with paying my own rent, I hardly think something as important as preventing forest fires should be laying solely upon
my shoulders.
Please people, I am
stressed out enough as it is.
