It is one of the 10 Beaujolais wine vintages.

Fleurie is sometimes regarded as intermediary between the vintages with drinking rather young and those which require to age.

The soil plays in this pallet: The wines of the highest zones on the thin ground are all in smoothness and very aromatic. Bottoms of slopes, to the deeper and argillaceous grounds give more constructed wines, very suited to ageing.

But there like elsewhere, the hand of the vine grower is determining in the prevalence, frames or flavour.

In its intense dyed with carmine red dress, of a beautiful aromatic complexity, Fleurie is elegant and subtle in mouth. It offers a pallet of floral and fruity flavours: red irises, violet, rose, fruits, bush peaches. With the age, it evolves to spiced notes.
