I'm a 24 year old independent web designer living in Portland, Oregon. I graduated from UC Davis in 2001 (psychology major). I had the dubious honor of growing up in Myrtle Creek, quasi-affectionately referred to as "Podunk, Oregon". I in fact lived 8 miles from town, on a little dairy farm, with my dad and two older brothers. My dad ran a not terribly successful milk-delivery business, and I distracted myself from the insults of childhood by reading copious numbers of fantasy novels while my brothers ran around poking each other with sticks.

From an early age, my interests have included a fascination with religion, spirituality, truth, and faith. My other interests lie in social justice, feminism, and other radical stuff like art. I generally have faith in humankind, that we will someday figure out how to live with each other without exploitation, greed, and misery. But I don't really have any expectation that this will happen anytime soon, and sometimes I feel like I'm just an observer, riding out the (post)modern Zeitgeist, and my actions ultimately have minimal effects on the course of human destiny.

When I do feel spiritually inclined, I tend toward various New Age philosophies like Alan Watts-style Zen, Neo-paganism, and ideas derived from the work of Werner Erhard.

And finally, I have yet to figure out love.

But hey, at least I'm not mad at my parents anymore. =)
