Coatlique (English pronunciation: Koatleekway)

She is the goddess mother of the war god Huitzilopochtli. Her physical representation is a two-headed serpent with a collar of human hands and skulls around her neck. Her representation (statue) was buried at the beginning of the conquest and later accidentally uncovered by friars when building a church(circa 1536). She was hastily re-buried for fear her image would empower the still numerous aztec warriors of the times.
