She sneezes"Bless you."
"Thanks."
She doesn't look up, immersed in the paperwork she's working on.
"Some
nasty bugs going around this winter."
"Uh huh," she adds absentmindedly. Clearly
she's not paying attention.
"Did you hear about the rhinoceros beetles infecting
everyone who wasn't vaccinated?"
"No. Sounds terrible," she replies.
Sighing, I get up out of my chair and look around the room.
Nothing else catches my interest. Just mountains of paperwork covering both our desks.
I wander off to the kitchen area and open the fridge.
"Livia's cake, don't touch!" exclaims the label on one plate.
It was covered with beetles.
