Shitai is the Japanese word for cadaver or corpse. It is also used to mean body, although there are a number of other words with this meaning. It is also sometimes used to refer a task force or a human figure.
Many works of Japanese manga and computer games have characters named Shitai or Shitai-san (Mr. Corpse). These characters are generally corpses, and may be involved in rather unsavory activities. You have been warned.
