A Project started by the
UNESCO in 1992. The Goal is to make
Nations aware of the "
treasures" in their archives and to create digital technology to store them and to make them available over the
Internet. It is quite similar to
Project Gutenberg, only it includes archives on music, movies, and technical and science data. Over a hundred archives that should be saved are listed on the Unesco
homepage.
