Crazy insect bastards and owners of one of the most ineffectual
defence systems in the
animal kingdom. The vinegaroon looks just like a normal
beetle, but quite a bit bigger. If you attack it (why? why would you do this?) it sprays a jet of
acetic acid, or
vinegar, at you.
More interesting are the consequences of a vineragoon
bite - everything you
eat for a week will taste of
vinegar, as

If there is a purpose to
genetic modification, it is surely to create an
ice-cream float beetle.
