I'm with
Footprints, if mostly for practical reasons:
To node in Hebrew or Russian properly, I will need to use the appropriate fonts. It's not good enough to just transliterate everything into the Latin alphabet, because no unified convention exists and anyway if it's not writtern in Russian it's not proper Russian, is it?
In the case of Hebrew (or Arabic), it is also written from right to left, so the entire code of the text window needs to be hacked to do line wrapping etc. properly.
But then none of you noders out there are likely to have Hebrew or Cyrillic fonts in your web browsers, so when you come across one of those you will see a bunch of gibberish. XP suicide, and also not very helpful content.
Maybe one day ariels wil be bored and a Hebrew-enabled version of E2 will be the result. That would be nice, but until then I'll just node in English.
