A book by the comedic science fiction author Lionel Fenn.

This is a story about a retired football player, who, as he has no joy in his life, naturally finds a bridge to another world in his pantry. He goes through, fights monsters (with his magical baseball bat), is confused by the magic, and saves a duck. Sorry. The Duck.

A fast-moving book, but the story line is the same old familiar one (hero goes on quest in magical word; has adventures, saves day). The world it is set in apparently doesn't have any set rules, which makes the magic a bit pointless. There is nothing specific that sets this book apart. It's a good read if you don't have any other books around, but aside from being amusing, it's not anything special.
